Ram engineers have sculpted an all-new generation of the legend. This road warrior is now up-to-date and ready for work in the 21st century. Mills Ford Chrysler has more details on it for you here.

Lighter Body

The 2019 Ram 1500 gets lighter and leaner for the new generation. Not only does the new Ram 1500 lose 225 lbs of weight thanks to the use of modern lightweight steel in the frame, it also gets cutting-edge engineering upgrades in the powertrain and interior.

More Power

The well-loved 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine is back, but now it comes standard with Ram’s eTorque mild-hybrid tech, which replaces the conventional starter and alternator with a 48-volt motor on the accessory drive, a feature which could help save some gas, especially if your truck sees mostly city use. Of course, the famous 5.7-liter HEMI® is still available with or without the eTorque motor, but Ram claims that motor will provide an additional 130 lb-ft of torque.

Updated Interior

The powerful and muscular exterior belies the stately and comfortable interior. Inside, passengers will enjoy active noise cancellation, self-leveling air suspension, and side-frame-mounted active-tuned mass modules (electronically controlled shake weights that counteract vibrations from the road). Plus, the new Ram comes available with incredible infotainment upgrades, like a 12-inch touchscreen (an upgrade from the still massive standard 8.4-inch screen) and an available 900-watt stereo system.

The new Ram 1500 is already on its way to dealers, and it may even be on our lot by the time you read this, so contact us ASAP to schedule your test drive and experience the power of a new generation of American automotive craftsmanship.
